This week, Evanston Community Foundation hosts Celebrate!Evanston, ECF’s annual gala for good. More than 350 business, philanthropic and community leaders will come together in support of a just, vibrant, and inclusive Evanston. ECF gives thanks to our sponsors – local businesses without whom our event would not be possible.
This year, we are thrilled to welcome Byline Bank as our Presenting Sponsor. We sat down with Byline’s President and CEO, Alberto Paracchini, to hear his thoughts on giving back, community, and Evanston.
Why did Byline choose to support ECF?
For over 100 years, Byline has helped Chicago’s businesses and neighborhoods thrive, just as the Evanston Community Foundation has spent more than 30 years working to help Evanston thrive as a just, vibrant, and inclusive community. As we welcome FB&T into the Byline family, it’s important for us to continue their legacy as a cornerstone of the Evanston community. Giving local is one of our core values, helping our neighbors every step of the way. Supporting ECF is simply one more way for us to demonstrate our commitment to Evanston.
What does community mean to Byline?
Giving back to the communities you serve is something I wholeheartedly believe in, and I’m proud to represent a company that lives out that belief day to day. We believe the role of a community bank should be to meaningfully support our local neighborhoods – which includes families, small businesses, and nonprofits. As a financial institution, we can consider ourselves successful if we’ve made our communities stronger because we existed.
What other ways does Byline give back?
We’re looking forward to a long future of being a good neighbor in Evanston. Evanstonians can count on Byline to continue to be the bank our customers deserve. Like ECF, we provide grants to local organizations making an impact in the community. We’ve issued Community Development Grants worth a total of $125,000 supporting education, financial literacy, housing, small business support, health and family services, and youth crises programs. Additionally, Byline employees participated in 1,274 service hours that benefitted nearly 5,000 individuals. Community engagement and support is the bedrock of our success, and we’re committed to helping the local communities in which we live and work to grow and thrive—today and into the future.
Celebrate!Evanston takes place the evening of Thursday, October 11 at Hilton Orrington. We hope to see you there!
