upcoming Celebrate!Evanston gala sells out in record time
September 19, 2016 | ECF Press Release
“Our Next 30 Years” is the theme of the evening, and will reflect on the Foundation’s past impact as well as envision its direction and dreams for Evanston in the next thirty years.
The Evanston Community Foundation’s annual benefit, Celebrate!Evanston, has sold out two weeks prior to the event to be held on Thursday, September 29th at the Evanston Golf Club.
record number of sponsors and early sell-out event
“We are excited and energized by the response to this year’s Celebrate!Evanston event. ECF has never sold out of tickets two weeks in advance, plus we have a record number of sponsors. We are looking forward to spending the evening with so many engaged Evanston residents,” said Monique B. Jones, President and CEO of the Foundation.
Funds raised at Celebrate!Evanston 2016 will support the Evanston Community Foundation’s mission to help Evanston thrive now and forever as a vibrant, inclusive and just community.
The evening will feature an original musical revue performed by Julie Chernoff (former ECF Board of Directors and Dining Editor of Make it Better), Patrick Keenan-Devlin (Executive Director & Juvenile Justice Attorney at the James B. Moran Center for Youth Advocacy), Rapheal Miller (singer, songwriter, producer and actor), and Jenna Rapisarda (Evanston native, actor and singer).
Northwestern University’s Dance Marathon (NUDM) Executive Committee will be on hand volunteering at the event. Since 1998, ECF has been the secondary beneficiary of the student-run philanthropy organization, making NUDM one of ECF’s top donors.
