Building a Stronger Evanston: Northwestern University Dance Marathon Gifts Over $32,000 to The Evanston Community Foundation

Evanston, IL - March 9, 2023, Evanston, IL – The Evanston Community Foundation (The Foundation) today announced it will receive a gift of over $32,000 as the secondary beneficiary of Northwestern University Dance Marathon (NUDM). Now in its 49th year, NUDM is the largest student-led philanthropy that raises dollars to benefit a primary and secondary beneficiary. Little Heroes League, the primary beneficiary, will receive more than $290,000 for care coordination to babies born with medical complexity.
For the past 26 years, The Foundation has been the secondary beneficiary of NUDM, receiving 10% of the funds raised annually. NUDM has awarded ECF nearly $1.5 million over the years, making NUDM one of the Foundation’s top donors. The Foundation mobilizes these funds through meaningful investments and grantmaking to support a more equitable and inclusive Evanston.
