CELEBRATE!EVANSTON 2023: A NIGHT OF CELEBRATION HONORING EVANSTON'S CHANGEMAKERS

Evanston, IL - [June 9th] - The Evanston Community Foundation, a driving force in the community since 1986, hosted an extraordinary evening, Celebrate!Evanston 2023, dedicated to recognizing and uplifting the remarkable changemakers of Evanston. The event served as a platform to celebrate the collective efforts of individuals who have made a positive impact in the past, present, and future of our vibrant community and launch the community foundation’s new monthly donor program called: The Impact Collective.
The night was filled with joy, inspiration, and a shared vision for a brighter future. Attendees gathered at Double Clutch Brewery on June 8th to join forces and show their support for the Community Foundation.
Celebrate!Evanston 2023 not only provided an opportunity to honor the accomplishments of the community's changemakers, but also served as a significant fundraising event. The Community Foundation, known for its unwavering commitment to driving positive change, does so through the Now!fund, which empowers ECF to serve the community now, and throughout the year, enabling us to make grants, build new ideas to fruition, and mobilize money, people, ideas, and talent. The event attendees collectively raised over $125,000 for the Now!Fund!
The event featured a diverse range of activities, including heartfelt speeches, a video presentation, and a showcase of impactful projects that have emerged from the community. Attendees were captivated by the stories of resilience, innovation, and dedication shared by the honorees, who have shaped and continue to shape the fabric of Evanston.
"Tonight was a testament to the power of collective action and the transformative impact of individuals who strive for positive change," said Akilah Wilson, Communications Manager of the Evanston Community Foundation. "We are humbled and grateful to have celebrated the changemakers of Evanston and to have raised essential funds to continue our mission of driving progress and resilience within our community, and to launch The Impact Collective which will provide a pathway to philanthropy for all."
